A Note from the Instructor:

The change in institutional character of FCC to accommodate the uncertainty of the pandemic has necessitated a model of ‘blended learning’ for our students. At FCC, ‘Blended Teaching’ will mean conducting classes as per the scheduled timetable, for half the student body on campus for a specific time period. That is, students with odd numbered roll numbers will be on campus for 1 week and then be replaced by students with even roll numbers for the next 1 week. Also, some students living in hostels will always be in-class/ on site and are expected to study in on campus classes. Instructors will continue to teach traditional F2Fon site/campus classes, as per the syllabus, but will simultaneously live stream a synchronous session for the other half, the off campus student body. For students who are unable to avail either of the above two options, i.e. who cannot join on campus or online classes due to issues of access, will have to be offered the same instructional tasks in asynchronous mode. This could mean over email, Moodle, smartphone, or even postal mail.

A brief introduction: After completing my studies from Germany, I am working as a German Language Instructor since 2007. From very beginning of my professional career, I have adopted the philosophy of teaching with a lot of interaction among the students and their active envelopment in leaning process through games, groupwork, presentations and the use of digital media in classroom. Teaching the German Language is for me a passion and to help students to pursue their dreams for higher education in Germany is my mission. For me a successful leaning means commitments to achieve the leaning objectives, punctuality and active participation in the class activities. I will be there for my students to help them to achieve their leaning objectives and to guide them for studies in abroad.

Course Description

The German language course system is based on the six levels defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and we are doing the basic level named A1. This means that the language skills you acquire in our courses can be measured objectively and are internationally comparable.

The course system is standardized and transparent everywhere in the world. Once you have completed a level, you can continue to learn flexibly – in your own location in Germany or online.

Our teaching methodology reflects the most recent knowledge in teaching and learning research.

It is varied and communicative. Speaking, listening, reading and writing are practiced in situations based on real-life, using authentic texts.

This course intends to:

Develop an elementary proficiency in German A1 and to prepare for the standard Goethe Test “ Start Deutsch 1”
